Background

The University of Suffolk Counselling Service offers impartial and confidential counselling that is helpful for a range of feelings and issues, including:

  • anxiety
  • sadness
  • loneliness/isolation
  • exam anxiety
  • sexual, physical or emotional abuse
  • relationship problems
  • stress
  • sexuality and affirmitive LGBT+
  • feeling a need to make important changes in their lives

How could this affect me?

These feelings can be caused by a wide range of situations, like the death of a loved one, not getting on with a family member or partner, problems in education or in work. You may feel that you would prefer not to speak to family or friends for a range of reasons perhaps so as not to burden them. To get a different perspective or to have a space where you do not need to worry about the other persons reaction.
